What is induction heating?
Induction heating is a method of heating conductor materials such as metal materials. It is mainly used for metal hot working, heat treatment, brazing and melting. Principle of Induction Heating:
Induction heating uses electromagnetic induction to generate current inside the heated material, and achieve the purpose of heating relying on the energy of these eddy currents. The basic components of induction heating system include induction coil, AC power supply and workpiece. According to the different heating objects, the induction coil can be made into different shapes. By combining the induction coil and the induction power supply, the power supply can supply the coil with alternating current, to generates an alternating magnetic field, which further generates eddy current to heat the workpiece.
Selection of Induction Heating Frequency:
Induction heating power supply is a device that generates induced current with a specific frequency to carry out induction heating and surface hardening treatment. Different power supplies have different power outputs and frequencies. The output power, the shape of the induction coil and the characteristics of the workpiece determine the heating mode. The penetration depth of heat into the workpiece depends on the frequency. The frequency is selected according to the requirements of heat treatment and heating depth. The higher the frequency, the shallower the penetration, the lower the frequency, the deeper the penetration.
